| Chefa Alonso, soprano sax and composer (La Coruña, 1955). She started her jazz career in the septet "El combo de Sara" as curtain raiser for Pharoah Sanders, Don Pullen, Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Phil Wood, etc. Lated she formed her own duo "Alonso y Williams" with guitarist Cy Williams, playing their own themes all over Spain, England and Germany. She belonged also to the Baldo Martínez Quintet, recording the CD "No pais dos ananos", which was considered the second best jazz CD of the year. Since 1995 she got involved in playing and teaching improvised music, in the composition and music playing for theatre and dance and composing for her own band Akafree. | |
| Chefa is a founder member of Musicalibre, a collective that organises the International Festival of Free Improvisation HURTA CORDEL. She belongs as well to stable groups of improvisation as "Blanca Doble", a duo with the poet Victor M.Díez from León, and "Sin Red", a multidisciplinal proposal of poetry, dance and improvised music. She has shared equally stage with a remarkable variety of musicians of the international scene of improvised music, such as Vanessa Mackness and Phil Wachsman. | |

Javier Carmona, drums (Madrid, 1977). He studied drums, musical language and harmony in the Escuela de Música Creativa (EMC) of Madrid, with teachers as Carlos Carli, Yayo Morales, Eva Gancedo, Miguel Ángel Blanco and Bob Sands. He studied in the percussion school "Neopercusión", with teachers like Juanjo Gacerrá Rogerio de Sousa, and has received private lessons of Fernando Marconi. He has also studied in the CNSEA and in the "Instituto Superior de Artes" of La Havana (Cuba) with Sergio Luis Cardoso (drums), Roberto Leal "Palillo" (congas) and Damarik Favier (classical percussion). |

| He has collaborated with rock bands like "Pantasma" or "FUC" and actually he belongs to "Grimorio", a duo of drums, guitar (Murky) and voices. He got involved in several jazz ensembles with performances in concert halls in Madrid (La Casa Encendida, Clamores, El Escondite, San Juan Evangelista) and other Spanish cities (Valencia, Barcelona). He is as well teacher of drums and percussion. | |

| Juan Jarén,
guitar (Huesca, 1965). He studied guitar, harmony, composition and musical language in the Escuela de Música Creativa (EMC) in Madrid, with teachers such as Sergio Ruzafa, Eva Gancedo, Juan San Martín, Tony Heimer, Andy Philips and Yayo Morales. In the professional sphere stands out that he is a member of the Swing Big Band of Madrid, as well as of other jazz formations. He was guitarist and arranger of pop and rock bands like "Glutamato Yeye", "Tessa" and "Los Flais". |

| As session guitarist he has worked in the recordings of "Love Fiasco", of the avantgarde rock band "Insecto", and of "Fuga de Vocales", of the guitarist and producer Patacho, in which he collaborated with musicians of the Spanish pop-rock scene, like "Enemigos" or "Siniestro Total". He has collaborated with the theatre company "Caín" in the arrangement and performance of the Kurt Weill´s score of "The Threepenny Opera" by Bertolt Brecht. As a composer, he has worked with the Spanish television. | |

Jorge Frias de la Uz, double bass and electric bass player . Born in Madrid,1976. He studied electric bass in IMT (institute of music and tecnologi) ,double bass harmony and composition in schools like Taller de Musicos de Madrid, Conservetorio Profesional de Amaniel and Escuela de Musica Creativa, with teachers such as Richi Ferrer, Pablo Minguez or Ramon Paus...with Dave Friesen took a master class,too. He has been playing diferents stiles of music with many local groups like Liquor (folk rock) ,Blue jeans(rock and roll),Dende (bossanova),Vademecum.o (jazz)... |

| Marcos Monge,
tenor sax (Managua 1966). He studied saxophone, harmony and musical language in the "Taller de Músicos" with Chefa Alonso among other teachers, and in the "Escuela de Música Creativa (EMC) with Bob Sands. He also studied improvisaton and harmony in the "Aula de Músicas" in Madrid with Chefa Alonso and Antonio Bravo. He assisted to several jazz seminars with musicians such as Barry Harris and others of free improvisation with Wolfgang Fuchs and Le Quan Ninh. |

| His first professional experience was with the Soul Band "Respect", with which he recorded two CDs and toured Spain and other countries of Europe. He collaborated with the experimental band "Insecto" in the recording of the CD "Love Fiasco". He is soloist tenor sax in the rock band Pantasma with which has made two recordings. He also collaborated with the "Bangmatu Orquesta Kingston", in recordings as well as on the stage, and is a member of the Swing Big Band. He belongs to the wind instruments group of improvisation "Soplathat" and has collaborated in three sessions of the FOCO Improvisation Orchestra, under the direction of Wolfgang Fuchs, Le Quan Ninh and Peter Kowald.
